How the resume generator works
HireFlowAI's resume generator combines your career profile with a target job description to produce a tailored, ATS-optimized resume.
The process:
Your career profile data is loaded as the content source
The job description is analyzed and key requirements and keywords are extracted
Your experience is restructured and rewritten to align with those requirements
The output is formatted for your selected platform (LinkedIn, Indeed, or ATS)
What gets optimized:
Professional summary — rewritten to match the target role
Core skills section — populated with aligned keywords from the JD
Work experience bullets — restructured for impact and keyword coverage
Section order and formatting — optimized for ATS parsing
What does not change:
Your actual experience, titles, dates, and employers
Your education and certifications
Any factual details you have provided
HireFlowAI optimizes presentation, not content. Nothing is added that you did not provide.
How to paste a job description
Open the job posting you are targeting (LinkedIn, Indeed, company site, etc.)
Select and copy the full job description text
In HireFlowAI, click New Generation
Paste the text into the Job Description field
Click Analyze & Generate
What to include:
Full responsibilities section
Required qualifications
Preferred qualifications
Any listed tools, platforms, or skills
What to exclude:
Company boilerplate (mission statements, benefits, EEO statements)
These sections do not affect your output and can be left out
Tip: The more complete the job description, the more accurate your ATS alignment score will be.
Platform-specific resume formatting
HireFlowAI generates different resume formats depending on your selected platform.
Structured for LinkedIn's resume import feature. Optimized for recruiter search visibility.
Indeed
Formatted for Indeed's resume parser. Clean structure, standard section headers.
General ATS
Maximum ATS compatibility. Single column, no graphics, standard fonts, clean section headers.
When to use General ATS:
Applying directly on a company website
Using a third-party applicant tracking system
When you are unsure which system the employer uses
If you are applying to the same role on multiple platforms, generate a separate version for each.
How to edit your generated resume
After generation, your resume appears in the preview panel.
To make edits:
Click Edit above the preview
Edit any section directly in the editor
Changes are saved automatically
Re-run the ATS report after significant edits to update your alignment score
Note: Edits you make in the editor do not update your career profile. To update your profile permanently, go to My Profile in the dashboard.
